Stuart began kickboxing in 2000 as a junior before progressing into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in 2007 under the tutelage of UK MMA pioneer Danny Batten. Stuart started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Kevin Capel at RGA Bucks in 2009.
As a competitor, Stuart is experienced at regional and national level in both BJJ and submission grappling. As a coach, Stuart promotes a friendly and productive learning environment for people of all ages, athletic backgrounds and experience levels to help improve themselves on and off the mats.
Stuart has travelled around the world to learn from some of the best minds in BJJ such as Marcelo Garcia, Roger Gracie, John Danaher, Ryan Hall, Lachlan Giles, Ricardo De La Riva, Mauricio Gomes and many more.
Stuart received his Black belt in 2019 from Kevin Capel at RGA Bucks. Stuart coordinates and teaches the Fundamentals and Advanced BJJ classes at Total Grappling.
